My Big Sky Life.

Whether you’re here for a fresh recipe, a new adventure, lifestyle inspiration, or a spark for your own writing, My Big Sky Life is your space to embrace the day—wherever your Big Sky may be.

EMBRACE THE DAY: FOOD, TRAVEL & LIFESTYLE

I’m doing my best to embrace every day—exploring the unknown, savoring the moments, and enjoying good food. My Big Sky Life is built on three pillars: Food, Travel, and Lifestyle. They’re the things we all share, the threads that keep us connected. Here under the Big Sky, that might mean recipe-testing in my kitchen, waking up early on a Saturday to chase a Montana sunrise, or simply enjoying the comfort of home with a homemade meal made from the heart.

LET’S GO PLACES

Living under the Big Sky means making the most of every weekend. Whether I’m hopping into my Bronco and hitting the open roads of the West, or jetting off from the nearby airport, I’m always chasing a new adventure. Here on the blog, I’ll be sharing travel tips from wherever the road (or sky) takes me — with a special focus on getaways across Big Sky Country. And fun fact: I’m originally from Massachusetts, so don’t be surprised if a little East Coast charm makes its way into the mix, too!

WHAT’S COOKING

My food philosophy is simple: fresh is best. I grew up on a cranberry farm in Massachusetts, so I learned early the value of local ingredients. Now in Montana, I embrace ranch-raised meats, farmers market produce, and my love for seafood—tracking down trusted distributors even in a landlocked state. I plan meals, test recipes, hunt down local favorites wherever I travel, and draw on my Portuguese, French, and Italian roots to bring heritage and family traditions to the table. For me, food is more than flavor—it’s connection and experience.

EVERYDAY LIVING

Everyday life is a mix of adventure and quiet moments. Like many people today, I start my mornings with coffee before settling in at my computer for work. With so much screen time during the week, I make it a priority to unplug in the evenings and on weekends. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the constant stream of technology, so I remind myself that we’re meant to step outside, breathe fresh air, and truly live. I encourage my readers to discover new spots in town, explore local events, take a weekend drive to a new hike, or simply enjoy the comfort of home. Everyday Living is where I share those big and small moments that make life so special.

THE WOMAN BEHIND THE BIG SKY

Hi, I’m Abby Paige, the gal behind all the words you see here. I began my career as a journalist. I often think back to those early days, when I learned so much about local communities and the stories behind the people who made them special.

Eventually, I transitioned into communications, working with executives to help them connect with their teams. I truly love what I do—helping others deliver messages that resonate with large audiences. Good, authentic communication matters more than ever, and it’s what inspires me to share my own voice with the world.

For the first time, I’m taking a step back to reflect on my own story. What I’ve learned is that no matter who you are, there’s something that makes your story worth telling. It all comes down to the message you want to share, the people you hope to inspire, and the legacy you want to leave.
